Chilean artists in Latin American fair, in Belgium
Eleven Chilean artists participate on the 5th Contemporary Latin American Art fair, ETNIA, which is held for the last five years in Brussels, Belgium. The Chilean artists selected to participate this year are: Amelia Errázuriz, Boris Franco, Evelyn Richter, Felipe Oyarzún, Francisca Valenzuela, Lotte Sanders, María Eugenia Akel, Mónica Cantillana, Pablo Anfossi, Pablo Fierro, Rocío Alcamán, and Axel Lovengreen, who will present their artwork together with the Costa Rican muralist, Cesar Valverde, and other hundred and twenty Latin American artists. Open call to Chilean artists
Applications are open to participate in the V Latin American Contemporary Art Fair, ETNIA, to be held between 21st October and 14th November 2009, at Espace Wallonie in Brussels, Belgium. ETNIA is a Latin American art fair held every two years in Brussels, aiming to gather various European countries at this meeting. Each edition features the participation of Latin American artists, and pays special tribute to a renowned Latin American artist. In the previous edition, ETNIA IV 2007 was sponsored by the Guayasamin Foundation and the Embassy of Ecuador, and artwork of the Ecuadorian artist, Oswaldo Guayasamin, were displayed. ETNIA V will display the works of the Costa Rican muralist, Cesar Valverde, together with the paintings of other hundred and twenty Latin American artists.

MOCCA ended the year with around fifty Chilean artists
After a thorough work carried out by MOCCA's representative in Chile, Amada Espinoza, MOCCA ended the year with a total of forty-four participating artists. They are: Amelia Errazuriz, Andrés Espinoza, Andrés Pastenes, Carmen Couve, Carolina Labbe, Daniela Ricciardi, Evelyn Richter, Francisca Illanes, Hector Pavat, Ignacio Gana, Macarena Salinas, Marcelo Guerra, Marcos Bahamonde, Maria Angelica Baeza, Maria Eugenia Akel, Miguel Vasquez, Nicolas de la Puente, Olivia Valdes, Pablo Salinas, Paulinne Cristi, Sebastián Garreton, Susana Larrain, Trinidad Besanilla, Verena Weidner, Jimmy Watt, Andrea Casanova, Carlos Donaire, Carmen Gloria Cucurella, Claudio Aguayo, Consuelo Orbe, Daniela Walker, Federico Elton, Florencia Onetto, Gustavo Ross, Jorge Salinas, Lorena Veliz, Magdalena Labbe, Manuel Riquelme, Nelson Olate, Pablo Fierro, Pamela Martinez and Sergio Robles. During January 2009, MOCCA will renew its current website, and process the information of the above mentioned artists, in order to add them to the gallery.

MOCCA was launched in Delhi, India
MOCCA was launched on November 12th and 13th, 2008, in Delhi India, with a 2-day program of art and music. On November 12th, fifty members of various diplomatic missions in India, and businessmen met at the residence of the Ambassador of Chile in India and Sri Lanka, Alfonso Silva, to witness the launch of MOCCA. On the occasion, the founding director of MOCCA, Anita Zaror, cut the mocha cake to give an official start to the museum, and presented a digital show of twenty Chilean contemporary artists, including Amelia Errazuriz, Andres Hermosilla, Evelyn Richter and Andrea Casanova, among others. Also, the prominent Turkish viola player, Beste Tiknaz, delighted the audience with some Turkish folk songs. On November 13th, around two hundred people attended the second part of MOCCA's official launch, at Epicent convention center in Gurgaon, India. The launch consisted of a classical music concert given by the Turkish musicians Beste Tiknaz (viola), Mehmet Tiknaz (bass) and the Indian pianist, Cecilia Vaz, who played pieces by Bach, Mozart, Lizst, Schumann, Albeniz and special arrangements of Turkish folk music while, behind them, a giant screen showed the works of contemporary Chileans artists. The following companies and entities supported the event: Embassy of Chile in India, Epicenter, Theme Music, Kawai, Fitplaza, Time Out Delhi, The Carpet Cellar, Shamina, Kaya Skin Clinic, the Radisson Hotel, Anakena Wines, Delhi Music Society, Sula Wines.
